One of my New Year’s resolutions this year, is to update this site more frequently. This has been on my radar for some time. However, when you spend all day working on content-related projects for clients, the last thing you want to do is produce more content for your own site.
But seeing as my last blog post was 6 years ago, I figured I really should start making more of an effort to publish more content for myself. Towards this goal, I have been looking back at my previous posts, all the way back to 2012. Something very apparent to me in doing this, is that so much has changed with content marketing in the last 14 years since I started this blog. Indeed, back then, the term “content marketing” wasn’t even in use.
Many of my older posts are not particularly relevant in today’s landscape. But I will leave them there, as a reminder of where it all started. Looking back at these posts reminds me of a few predictions of mine that turned out to be completely wrong. I won’t detail them here, they are a little embarrassing!
Anyway, I am going to try my hardest to post content regularly from now on.
Happy New Year to you all.
Mac.
